"Dear BigStash users,

For the last year we did our best to create a great cloud archiving service, and I believe we succeeded. In just a few months since we launched, we got more than 21k registered users and a feature set even more mature services would only wish for.

At the same time, unfortunately, we did not manage to meet our business goals. We fought, we looked for alternatives, but in the end we had to make the difficult decision: We have to shut down BigStash.

Right now, our priority is to make sure you can get your data back:

  • Starting today, uploading new archives from the Windows or Mac apps, or Dropbox or Amazon S3 is disabled.
  • If you don't have a second copy of your archives, you can download your files until July 30.
  • Keep in mind that downloading big archives locally ("download as ZIP" option) may take a long time. A much faster alternative is to use our export to Amazon S3 or export to Dropbox features.

If you need any help, please contact us at

We thank you very much for using BigStash, for sharing your feedback, for being part to this exciting journey. Thank you.

Panayotis Vryonis,
Founder & CEO at Longaccess"
