"The Senior Manager Engineering’s role is to ensure the streamlined operation of the Core Technology Systems in alignment with the business objectives of the organization. This individual will plan, coordinate, direct, and design IT-related activities of the organization, as well as provide assistance to the Support & Operations teams of the eGroup department. The Senior Manager Engineering will work closely with decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization. This person will also define and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices as it relates to core technology platforms

-Lead the operational and strategic planning, including fostering innovation, handover and quality assurance of projects, and organizing and negotiating the allocation of resources.
-Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives.
-Develop and implement all IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, and service provision.
-Manage the core technology platforms as it relates to architecture and design and overall systems managements across the core technology platforms including Middleware, Messaging Services, Operating Systems, Servers, Storage, Networking, Security, Voice, Telephony and Video.
-Perform the quality assurance of projects against established standards and practices and handover to operational teams.
-Manage IT staffing, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation, and disciplinary actions.
-University degree in the field of computer science/engineering or information systems (Master’s degree preferred).
-Certifications in at least 2 mainstream platforms including Microsoft technologies, Network and Switching, Security, Unix/Linux technologies, Voice/Telephony technologies.

Job requirements

-At least 7-12 years work experience.
-Proven experience in IT infrastructure planning and development.
-Strong knowledge of systems design principles, requirements specifications, standards development and practices.
-Good working knowledge of ITIL, especially Systems Management practices, ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 best practices and standards and how they are applied to IT.
-Strong leadership skills with excellent interpersonal and consultative skills.
-Excellent written and oral communication skills.
-Highly self motivated and directed.
-Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.
-Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
-Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
