Why this role exists
The ideal candidate will report and work closely with the Partners and be responsible for assisting in the smooth day to day operation of the firm through clear and consistent processes and reports. Have the ability to analyse and assess candidate companies and founders, help source and organize deal-flow, evaluate business plans and track and assist portfolio companies to reach their full potential.
REQUIREMENTS
Key Accountabilities
- Organise, run and document the vetting and selection process for portfolio companies
- Track and assist portfolio companies in all of their needs including talent sourcing, product development, financial reporting, business plan creation and fundraising
- Ensure portfolio companies develop internal policies and processes and promote accountability. Communicate, analyze and challenge financial and product impacts versus original targets
- Preparation of Monthly Financial Reports and associated presentations to the Partners and other key stakeholders
- Continuously improve and adapt operating processes and management accounts to track financial performance KPIs
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of the company’s 3 year Operating Plan
- Responsible for drafting and monitoring the annual budget
- Support and facilitate internal meetings as needed
- Support the business with ad hoc reports, and other special projects
- Transaction work
- Adapt term sheet for specific companies to which it’s being offered
- Complete execution process, collecting approvals signatures and necessary documentation from all related parties
- Drafting of investment recommendation summaries for the partners and investment committee decisions
- Deal flow processing
- Identify and prioritize deals submitted to the fund
- Produce quantitative reporting regarding the progress of deals
- Follow up on deal flow and collect supporting material. Guide funding applicants towards providing this based on set templates.
- Comparative and competitive analysis of funding applicants
- Investor reporting: The investment manager is expected to participate in the preparation of quarterly reports for investors providing them with key financial figures of the fund.
Knowledge, skills and experience
- Over 3 years of work experience in a business analyst or financial role; international experience strongly preferred
- Strong academic background from top-tier school at post-graduate level
- Top tier MS PowerPoint and MS Excel skills are required
- Fluency in English, both oral and written (multi-lingual is a plus)
- Strong communication skills

- Attention to detail, and high accuracy are critical
- Able to perform under pressure and deliver results in a demanding and fast-paced environment that requires fresh thinking, innovation and time dedication
